Summer would not be the same without a Postcard Party. This year as we celebrate World Typewriter Day, we are adding a twist. We will be have a day long sketch event as well. Let's write, type and make our own postcards.
Start your day by warming up with Meditative Drawing in the morning. Then sketch a postcard with TRAVELER'S COMPANY products. Then type your postcard on a vintage typewriter.
TRAVELER'S COMPANY is partnering with us for the sketch portion. We have giveaways and samples goodies for anyone who comes to draw in our courtyard.
It’s also World Typewriter Day! We celebrate the day the patent was secured for the first typewriter. Moveable type really changed the way we communicate and introduced an efficient writing tool to the common man. Join typewriter aficionado and founder of Tampa Type, Randy Rosenthal, to learn about typewriter history and operation, and then to test drive several restored typewriters from the 1920’s to the 1970’s.
