My name is KAREN GILLMAN
and my nickname or people call me… SHUG, SHUGGY, CARE BEAR AND MOM
My passion is… CRAFTING, HOME MAKING, COOKING AND FAMILY.
You might not guess this about me, but…. I AM 49 YEARS OLD, A WIFE, MOTHER OF TWO CHILDREN (AGES 4 AND 5), AUTHOR, AND AM A BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL BY DAY. I’VE BEEN CRAFTING SINCE MY EARLY CHILDHOOD AND CANT PASS BY A BOWL OF BEADS OR GLITTER WITHOUT A GASP OF DELIGHT TO SAVE MY LIFE!
If I could give one piece of advice to someone at the the start of their creative journey/or next project it would be… LEAVE YOUR INHIBITIONS AT THE DOOR! JUMP IN WITH BOTH FEET AND THOROUGHLY ENJOY THE PROCESS. CREATIVE JOURNEYS ARE MEANT TO BE ENJOYED!
I believe in snail mail because…. I LOVE TO GIVE IT…AND BEST OF ALL – RECEIVE IT. WHEN I OPEN MY MAILBOX MY HEART SKIPS A BEAT WHEN I SEE A HAND WRITTEN ENVELOPE.
What I love about teaching at the Paper Seahorse is…. I KNOW A GOOD TIME IS IN STORE WHEN WE GATHER AROUND THE TABLE AND CREATE TOGETHER. WE ARRIVE AS STRANGERS AND LEAVE AS FRIENDS! ALL AGES, ALL SKILL LEVELS, CREATING ALL ONE-OF-A-KIND TREASURES!
